Shared Mailbox Management
MailBBox is a dedicated solution for Microsoft 365 Shared Mailbox management. Shared Mailboxes in Exchange Online are extremely powerful and versatile, enabling generic email addresses with their own mailbox, and easily shared and accessed by assignment. Unlike aliases or distribution lists, a Shared Mailbox, with permission, can not only receive but send or reply using its own email address.
Administration of shared mailboxes (creation, deletion, user assignment, etc.), until now, was exclusively available within the tenant administration tools of your Microsoft 365 subscription. Now, with MailBBox, administration of your Shared Mailboxes, including managing access, can be delegated without requiring elevated Microsoft administrative access, and can even be assigned on a per mailbox/email address basis.
Extend Guest Collaboration to Email Marketing
MailBBox extends Microsoft B2B collaboration, enabling invited B2B tenant guests to access and manage designated Shared Mailboxes, enabling vendor or customer-driven email communications using your custom domain in Microsoft 365.
This access is limited to a browser only, is fully audited, and restricts the guest access while still enabling the authorized guest to manage communications on your behalf. Now, you can enable your outsourced vendors (marketing agencies, technical support, HR, accounting, etc.) to manage dedicated email addresses (“support@example.com”, “payables@example.com”, “humanresources@example.com”, “info@example.com”) on your behalf as part of their vendor engagement responsibilities. This was previously impossible without requiring you to create a separate login, which defeats the main advantage of B2B collaboration: security.
